The extraordinary summit on July 16 between Presidents Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin marks a phase-shift in history. It is the result of a long, difficult battle, led in no small part by American economist and political opposition leader Lyndon LaRouche over the past 50 years, to create an alignment of interests among nations and cultures as the necessary force to usher in a just, new world economic order freed of geopolitics and offering mutual development to all peoples and nations. It is thus a reflection of the now unstoppable “new paradigm” sweeping over the world.
Donald Trump, in his election campaign and after his election, strongly opposed the policy of “permanent wars” and of “regime change” that the neo-conservatives in the Anglo-American world had successfully pushed through for decades. He repeatedly called for establishing good working relations with Russia and China, and ending the senseless military interventions abroad.
The investigation led by former FBI director Robert Mueller into alleged collusion between Russian leaders and the Trump team has been pretty much discredited by now, after exposure of a web of corruption in both the Department of Justice and the FBI. That has led the would-be putschists to escalate the efforts for “Plan B”, which calls for impeaching Donald Trump under the 25th Amendment, for being “mentally unit”. That Amendment states that if cabinet members find that the President is “unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office,” he can be replaced by the Vice President.
Kory Langhofer, a lawyer for President Donald Trump’s transition team, has accused Special Counsel Robert Mueller, a former director of the FBI, of unlawfully obtaining tens of thousands of private emails during his investigation, as reported in Politico of Dec. 17. Mueller’s office obtained the records earlier this summer from the General Services Administration (GSA), the government agency charged with holding all transition materials, and used the material, according to the lawyer, “even though its prosecutors were aware some of the materials were subject to claims of attorney-client privilege and other protections.”
Well over one year later, the investigation into alleged Russian meddling in the US presidential election to ensure the victory of Donald Trump has still not turned up any evidence, but the counterattack by some in Congress has brought to light the highly suspicious attempts by the FBI and the Justice Department to undermine first the Trump campaign and then the Trump presidency.
Dec. 11, 2017 – While the anti-Trump media was cheering the guilty plea of former National Security adviser Lt. General Michael Flynn, hailing this as a step closer to removing President Trump, special counsel Robert Mueller and his team were hit with revelations which have severely damaged their credibility. At the center of these revelations is the role of top FBI agent Peter Strzok, who was removed from Mueller’s team when it was revealed that he and his mistress were exchanging anti-Trump SMS messages, and that Strzok and the FBI were using the discredited “dodgy dossier”, produced by “ex”-MI6 agent Christopher Steele, to create “Russiagate” in the first place.
Nineteen U.S. Congressmen have drafted a letter demanding an investigation into the activity of Special Counsel Robert Mueller, who is spearheading the drive to contain or remove President Donald Trump from power, based on the absurd allegations that his election was the result of Russian operations directed by President Putin. The letter was addressed to Senator Chuck Grassley, Chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee, and Rep. Bob Goodlatte, Chair of the House Judiciary Committee, both Republicans. It represents the first official effort to challenge Mueller’s open-ended fishing expedition, which has expanded far beyond its original legal mandate, and has yet to produce a scrap of evidence implicating either Putin or Trump.
For anyone who wishes to understand the real story of what is behind the “Russiagate” regime change operation in the U.S. today, an expose in the Sept. 29, 2017 issue of Executive Intelligence Review, is a “must read”. There, investigative journalist Barbara Boyd takes apart the cover story of Robert S. Mueller as “incorruptible” and fair-minded, revealing instead that he is a corrupt operative of the British-U.S. intelligence services known as the “Deep State.”
EIR held an intense conference in Manhattan on Sept. 9 on the theme “The ‘Russian Hack’ Inside Job: Who’s Trying To Destroy The Presidency And Start A World War With Russia?” Featured speakers were two experts of Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity (VIPS) William Binney and Ray McGovern, as well as EIR’s William Wertz. The event drew a packed crowd, including many activists from organizations eager to hear the evidence of how the “Deep State” (financial interests, intelligence community, complicit media and politicians) manipulated the entire Russiagate affair.
At a LaRouche PAC forum in Manhattan on Aug. 19, 2017 two founding members of the Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity (VIPS) gave a detailed report on the forensic evidence concerning the emails from the Democratic National Committee (DNC) computers that were leaked, and not hacked, while providing a fascinating look into how the intelligence community in the United States operates (or rather mis-operates). The two experts were Ray McGovern, a CIA analyst for 27 years who prepared the U.S. President’s daily brief in the 1980s, and William Binney, a technical expert of the NSA for over 30 years who designed many of the technologies still used today,
