EIR held an intense conference in Manhattan on Sept. 9 on the theme “The ‘Russian Hack’ Inside Job: Who’s Trying To Destroy The Presidency And Start A World War With Russia?” Featured speakers were two experts of Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity (VIPS) William Binney and Ray McGovern, as well as EIR’s William Wertz. The event drew a packed crowd, including many activists from organizations eager to hear the evidence of how the “Deep State” (financial interests, intelligence community, complicit media and politicians) manipulated the entire Russiagate affair.
At a LaRouche PAC forum in Manhattan on Aug. 19, 2017 two founding members of the Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity (VIPS) gave a detailed report on the forensic evidence concerning the emails from the Democratic National Committee (DNC) computers that were leaked, and not hacked, while providing a fascinating look into how the intelligence community in the United States operates (or rather mis-operates). The two experts were Ray McGovern, a CIA analyst for 27 years who prepared the U.S. President’s daily brief in the 1980s, and William Binney, a technical expert of the NSA for over 30 years who designed many of the technologies still used today,
Former CIA analyst Ray McGovern, a well-known leader of the group of patriotic former U.S. intelligence agents calling themselves the Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity (VIPS), asked some pointed questions concerning the frenzied drive to overthrow President Trump. In an interview with RT on July 26, McGovern called on the U.S. Congress and President Trump to specifically investigate former FBI Director James Comey’s role in setting up the “Russians hacked the email of the Democratic National Committeee” fraud.
The future of the United States as a constitutional republic is at stake in current showdown between the Trump presidency and the nexus of banking/corporate interests, secrets services, and politicians dubbed the “deep state”, which is now being escalated. Such is the warning published March 29 in Consortium News by William Binney, the original designer of a number of the National Security Agency’s surveillance programs before turning whistleblower, and Ray McGovern, a former CIA analysist specialized in Russia and the Soviet Union who prepared the Presidential daily brief in the 1980s. Both are members of the VIPS (Veterans Intelligence Professionals for Sanity).
