In an article written on Jan. 19 for the German weekly Neue Solidarität, the chair of the Schiller Institute Helga Zepp-LaRouche denounces the fawning letter of 31 German leaders to the Britons dated January 18, calling on them to remain in the European Union. Helga Zepp-LaRouche writes:
The Syrian “White Helmets” were the sole source of information cited by all Western media on the alleged chemical weapons attack by the Syrian army forces in Douma on April 7. That organization is presented as credible, despite the fact that they were co-founded by MI6 and are notoriously linked to Al-Qaeda and other jihadist groups. True to form, their videos of the alleged April 7 attack show heart-wrenching clips of children, but no evidence whatsoever that chemical weapons (CW) were in fact used. In fact, none of their past allegations on the use of CW by the Assad regime has been proven.
The majority of the world’s nations and peoples are in a state of shock, and fear, that the recent 180-degree turn by President Donald Trump — from his rejection of regime change and a commitment to work with Russia and China for peace and development, to a criminal and unwarranted military attack on Syria and a threat to preemptively attack North Korea — could provoke a global nuclear war at virtually any moment.
