China Daily journalist Fu Jing launched his new book A New Code for Common Peace and Prosperity on Oct. 11, 2017 at the Frankfurt Book Fair. The book, published by Guangdong People’s Publishing House, explains how China and the European Union can deepen cooperation through the Belt and Road Initiative over the coming years.
To discuss that theme, the publishing house organized a seminar at the Fair, to which it invited Schiller Institute Chairwoman Helga Zepp-LaRouche and Bernard Dewit, chairman of the Belgian-Chinese Chamber of Commerce, alongside the author Fu Jing (all three shown in the photo above).
Helga Zepp-LaRouche stated that the Belt and Road Initiative is the most important global public good for the common development of humanity, but the Western media have not realized its significance fully. “This initiative is already changing the world in terms of its magnitude of infrastructure construction,” she said. “It has already ignited the hopes and dreams for other developing countries.”
